Summary

Libby found herself in a distressing situation when she joined a neighborhood Facebook group, and one of the members began stalking her. After meeting this woman one evening for drinks, Libby sensed warning signs and attempted to maintain an online-only relationship. However, as their friendship progressed, it became evident that toxicity had infiltrated even their virtual exchanges. Taking measures to protect herself, Libby chose to block the individual. But this triggered a series of troubling behaviors, from sending inappropriate emails to reaching out to Libby's acquaintances and spreading falsehoods online; the situation quickly escalated into stalking.
