not enough to ensure a conviction. On May 5, 2012, a woman disappeared, and though it seems like

police have a pretty good idea of who might be responsible, the only people arrested

had to be let go without any charges.

and though she had no known job, was thought to have either been working as a bartender or seamstress,

was last seen after being dropped off by family at the home she shared with her daughter in West Derby Liverpool,

after a dinner out at a Chinese restaurant.

Seen wearing a gray sweater, a pink cardigan, dark jeans, and a gold Madonna pendant necklace,

the following morning her daughter Lois claimed her mother came into her room and said

she was going to stay with a friend

named Vicky for a few days and walked out carrying a few bags of her clothing.

Nothing was out of the ordinary, really.

But at around 5.50 p.m. that evening, Lois received a text from Paula saying she was going
