commissioner was Sean Ray who's commissioned a bunch of films in the past and he's

he he's he's also dominating the last few

Commission Podcast we got here I think he's we still got three left the due for him

he selected Blade Runner, which is a 1982 film, as you probably know, but he wanted us to see a particular cut, the final cut, which was released in 2007.

This is the only director directors cut that Ridley Scott actually worked on

supervised and has endorsed as his definitive view of the movie and this is one of

the few versions of this film that I had not seen before.

So I put it to you. This is of course directed by Ridley Scott,

story by Philip K Dick, starring Harrison Ford, Sean Young, Rutger,

Howard, and Edward James Almost, almost.

What did you think of this, you can talk about your history but

Blade Runner could talk about your experience watching the film this time

talk about whatever hell you want your professional podcast.

Yeah so Blade Runner is a has been traditionally a weird movie for me because I always I guess

understood thematically why it got the respect it did because it was wrestling with

interesting questions and it had a really interesting

aesthetic and I thought that was kind of it because when I had watched the movie

before it always felt messy to me it always felt like this is a movie that didn't quite live up to the standards of its director or its creators.

And watching the Final Cut movie for the version for the first time I was blown away with how much better it is.

It did not feel messy at all.

It felt actually very tight.
