today with Paul Shear. Paul is an incredible comedian of course you might know him

from his podcast work, how did this get made? His podcast has been around forever

it's a truly a favorite of so many of us.

Paul's a brilliant comedian married to June Diane Raffiel,

who's also so incredibly funny.

And Paul's got a new book out

called Joyful Recollections of Trauma.

Now, I had gotten an advanced copy of this book

before I did the interview, but I had only gotten a chance

to read just, I think, like five chapters of it.

And I left it, and since doing the interview,

I've gotten to finish this book.

And it's one of my favorites of the year.

It's just, I don't know, it's just that style that I like.

It's an essay collection, but it's slice of life stories.

So they're not necessarily about the industry or anything like that.

I think they're relatable to any of us. I just thought it was so good and so one of my favorites this year to read. So check it out if you're looking for something that you could just pick up and put down, read a chapter here or there.

It's good.

I didn't listen to the audiobook.

I read the hardcover, but it's just, it's great.
