Summary

Many people think that the Jewish "feasts", or holy days, are specific only to the Jews. And although it's true that God specifically commanded the Israelites to observe them, they are actually relevant for all of his children... including those of us grafted in by Christ.

In today's episode, I'm going to explain how this feast of the Lord is the fulfillment of the date when the final judgements will be set, the books of heaven are closed, and you either spend eternity in heaven, or eternity in hell.

Hey guys, I'm Chassidy, and you're listening to the Ancient Conspiracies podcast, where we

0:05.9

connect the origins of some of the most popular conspiracy theories to biblical history.

0:11.4

Well, welcome back to our study of the Fall Feast of Israel. If you missed last week's episode,

0:16.1

I highly encourage you to pause this show and go listen to it first. It really lays the groundwork

0:20.7

for today's

0:21.3

episode. But here's a quick recap. For those of you who have never studied the Feast of Israel,

0:26.4

God commands the Israelites in Leviticus to observe seven major feasts throughout the year,

0:31.7

three in the spring, three in the fall, and then Pentecost, which is in between the sets.

0:36.7

Now, as we discussed last week, the word

0:38.7

feast literally translates to the Hebrew word moed, which means appointment. So in essence, God

0:46.0

commanded his people to mark their calendars and observe these appointments year after year,

0:51.6

so that they would be in the right place at the right time for his future return.

0:56.9

So in order to better understand prophecy, you really need to have an understanding of these

1:01.3

appointments set by God himself, because they will be fulfilled through Christ.

1:07.4

So it's widely believed that Christ fulfilled the spring feast when he arrived the first time, and he's going to fulfill the fall feast when he returns again.

1:15.6

And this is how these feasts become applicable for us as Christians.

1:19.6

Now, as we learned last week, the first fall feast was known as Yom Terua.

1:24.6

It's also known as the Feast of Trumpets, and all throughout Scripture

1:28.9

we're told that Christ returns with trumpets. I presented a lot of scriptural evidence last

1:34.5

week that connects his return with this first fall feast. Now, we don't know what year this is

1:39.9

going to happen, but all signs point to Christ returning on Yom Terua, the Feast of Trumpets,

1:45.7

at some point in the future. We also covered several names that Yom Terua goes by, all of which
