Summary

Who can ever forget what happened to Pharaoh and his army when they pursued the Israelites across the Red Sea? There’s a little-known, overlooked prophecy in the book of Ezekiel that predicts a tragic end to the nation of Egypt. Scripture says that Egypt becomes uninhabitable for 40 years! What could bring such devastating destruction? The prophet references a structure called The Tower of Syene in his writings, a full 2,500 years before it ever existed! 0:52.7	Well, it's a topic that's going to be somewhat controversial, I think, when people hear
0:57.3	about it because it's one of those Bible prophecy subjects that you've probably never

1:03.2	Now, it's the feature article that Gary's written in the most recent edition of the
1:08.1	Prophecy Watcher magazine, and the article is entitled The Tower of Sain, A Prophetic Wonder.
1:14.9	Now, Gary, this is a prophecy you've studied now for a few years about Egypt,
1:19.8	and the impending destruction of Egypt is prophesied in the Bible.
1:24.0	Why don't you give us an overview of really what this is all about?
1:27.3	Well, it's a prophecy that is found in Ezekiel 29, and the general heading of the prophecy
1:33.7	is the desolation of Egypt, and it's a latter-day prophecy, although it's addressed to
1:40.7	Pharaoh. That is, when Ezekiel gives this prophecy, it's addressed to Pharaoh,
1:45.2	King of Egypt, but the context of the prophecy is very clearly latter day. And it talks about
1:52.0	a catastrophe that befalls the Nile River, that changes everything that the Nile River ever has
1:59.1	been and ever will be.
2:05.9	And it's such an unusual prophecy that I started studying years ago, and I've written a couple of short pieces over the years,
2:09.8	but I decided to write a longer article for the February edition of the Prophecy Watcher.
