0:09.0	Yeah, at the draft. At the draft. This is an annual event. This is our 18th year of our fantasy football draft.
0:16.8	It is me, it is posh, it is 10 of our college friends, some of the best human beings
0:21.9	I've ever been lucky enough to meet.

0:24.4	We get together once a year for our in-person fantasy football draft.
0:30.1	And the most wonderful thing about it is whoever wins the previous year gets to pick the location of the following years draft.
0:40.0	And let's be honest, if there wasn't a Family Tri trips podcast, we wouldn't have been where we ended up.
0:45.0	Yeah, because our good friend Derek Vandervort, who keeps winning.
0:50.0	He won three years ago, he won this year, and actually pitched an idea where he thought the loser of the league should have to host the draft because it's a lot of work.
0:59.0	Yeah, right, I should know, right, you don't just pick the location you then are in charge of
1:03.7	organizing a draft right but he proposed that rule and was shot down forcefully by
1:10.1	the winner we decided we only wanted drafts hosted by winners. We didn't want a weekend hosted by a loser.
1:16.0	But you know Derek also listens to the podcast and listen has listened to you kind of run down the whole idea of the Grand Canyon since we started this and he sent me a message early on in his planning and he was like what if we went to the Grand Canyon for the draft and
1:34.7	never occurred to me that I could get burned this way I felt I was so Grand Canyon
1:39.4	proof in the way I was living my life. How would I how would I be forced to go to the Grand Canyon?
1:45.5	And by the way, when we started this podcast, people said, oh my God, you should record one
1:49.4	at the Grand Canyon.
1:51.0	And I said, no, I don't have time to go to the Grand Canyon. I've got three kids. I got a full-time job. I'm not taking a leisurely trip to the Grand Canyon.
2:00.0	There's only one time a year where I leave my family and that's for my fantasy football draft and that's certainly not going to be at the Grand Canyon and then D.V. That's what we call Derek. Derek pulled the rug out from under my feet and sent out an evite to the Grand Canyon.
2:15.1	Yeah, and it wasn't, we didn't stay at the Grand Canyon, we weren't camping.
2:20.4	And we didn't stay at a hotel because that's not our style. We like to sort of we like to just be together as much as we can be.
