I wanted to wish everyone a happy New Year, as this is, in fact, New Year's Eve, Cargill and I being very busy with individual projects and family visiting and the holidays and all that. Instead of a brand new episode, what I've done is I've actually dug from the archives, our episode, on the Immortal classic, New Year's ever!

Yeah, get used to that because it happens like six times in this episode.

It was really interesting listening to this episode again.

A lot of fun talking about a movie that was very formative to my junk food education,

as well as hearing the spoiler alert drop, which I had forgotten that we had done entirely,

as well as a lot of the same stories about me and New Year's Evil, which is a party that I

threw every year. It is interesting because this was the end of 2014. This was the end of our

first official year doing the podcast, and we were very wistful

as we look back on the year. But one thing that has not changed at all is when we get to the

end of the episode, when we're talking about our appreciation for you, the listener, we could

not possibly do this show without you. And that's even more true now than it was then, before we

had a Patreon, before, you know, I was drawing a portion of my income from doing this show. And that's even more true now than it was then before we had a patron, before I was drawing

a portion of my income from doing this show. And seeing the growth from then to now has been

truly remarkable. And I wanted to take a moment and thank you all so much for all that you do

to support the show, whether you are a patron and sporting us financially, or whether you're

out there, you know, beating the

drum for us on social media and telling your friends about the show. I mean, we appreciate all

of it. I do want to share just a personal tidbit. This was just, this was recorded just a few

months before I met my girlfriend and now my wife and the mother of my children.

And so the stories you hear about New Year's Evil were very, very true, but from a very

different point in my life.
