podcast. On this episode of Black Girl Gwan, I tell the story of Taney Brown, who was 33 years old when she was murdered in Detroit, Michigan, in October 2013.

Taney was a law student and a single mother to three girls,

when she disappeared on October 28, 2013.

The day she vanished, she dropped her daughters off at her mom's house before going to class.

But Tanny didn't come back that evening to pick up her girls and calls to her phone when unanswered.

Two days later, Tanny's SUV was found in an abandoned lot and her body was inside.

Eleven years after her murder, Tanny's killer has never been caught,

and her family needs justice.

Who killed Taney? Taney.

And why?
