Running has taught me a lot about belief, resilience, faith, and hope.

And the things that I've learned from running are similar things that I've learned from the church.

And there's so many places that you can find it.

You can hear it from, you know, a podcast like this and other people sharing their stories.

You can hear it in quiet moments in church.

You can hear it in the warmth of your home.

And, you know, I would say some of my best and most spiritual experiences have come from running.

It's taught me so many things and it's rooted me so wholeheartedly down into that.

I think they go very hand in hand and I think for myself and in my life,

it's been very evident and obvious that God's hand is so deep into our lives and everything is very intertwined.

competes in the 3,000-meter steeple chase and is currently preparing for the United States

Olympic trials. As a Brigham Young University student, Courtney was a four-time NCAA Division I champion

and an eight-time All-American.

The Latter-day St. Athlete put an exclamation point on her stellar college career

by winning the women's steeplechase at the 2002 NCAA track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon. At the meet,

she clocked a personal best time of 916, breaking her own school record, the collegiate record,

and the meat record, while running the fifth fastest steeplechase time in United States history.
