The optimism of a new season, the fresh cut grass, the crack of the bat.

Talking about baseball season, because Dodgers opening day was just here and the angels.

And though our Bruins and Trojan men are not marching through the NCAA tournament,

the women in both schools made us very proud.

Lakers are getting hot, the clippers are regaining their early season momentum,

the LA Kings are in playoff contention, and the Rams and Chargers getting their

rosters retooled for the upcoming season. It's the best time of year for sports

especially in LA with our multitudes of teams.

And I don't talk about sports a ton,

here on In a Minute with Evan Love it,

but I am a bona fide sports nerd,

formerly a sports obsessive.

And I've been waiting for over a year to do an episode on sports.

So bear with me because I'm not just going to prattle on about how much I love the Dodgers, the Lakers, the Bruins, all of our local squads.

But what I'm doing today is diving into something more fun and hopefully leads to some trivia

for you to regale your buddies with at the local bar or even when you're just watching the ball games or over text.

Because this episode, it's going to be one fact you don't know about every LA sports team. It was opening day.

I used to go to my opening day every year with my dad. Rest in peace, much love for him taking me to the ball games.

He was a huge, huge Dodger fan and he'd play Hooky from work and he grabbed me from school and I'd play

hooky.
