So when we last left the cramps they had just utterly blown the chance to play

regular gigs at CBGB which was heartbreaking to the band because CBs have

been the whole reason why Ivy and Lux have moved to New York in the first place.

But even though Hilly Crystal, owner of CBGBs, didn't see the potential of the cramps at the time,

Peter Crowley, the manager of Maxis, Kansas City, decided to give the cramps a chance based purely on the band's energy.

Yeah, I mean, Peter Crowley, he thought they were terrible, they were magically terrible though so he booked the

cramps to open for suicide everyone thought Peter was crazy to do that they're like

book the cramps? Book suicide? I mean, yeah, if you're going to go for

it's like, okay, there's this band that's terrible, but I love them. Who do I put them with this other band that's terrible but I also love
