Thank you. True Crime Podcast. The trial is underway for a Nevada politician accused of murdering an investigative journalist.

47-year-old Robert Tellis,

former Democratic Clark County Public Administrator,

was arrested in September of 2022

after 69-year-old Jeff German,

a reporter with a Las Vegas Review Journal,

was found stabbed to death outside his home.

Prosecutors are pointing to articles written by the slain journalist,

which exposed Tellis' toxic workplace environment as a possible motive for the murder.

Moreover, prosecutors also claim to have strong DNA evidence against Tellus

that would place him at the scene of the crime.

Tellis has been jailed since his arrest and has pleaded not guilty to open murder.

If convicted, he faces life in prison.
