The silk road. A website that allowed the buying and selling of goods, both legal and illegal. It was shut down by the US government and the creator of the site was sentenced to double-life without parole for non-violent crimes. Regardless of what you think of the site Ross Ulbricht built, there’s something wrong with our justice system when this kind of sentence was applied.

Today, we welcome Ross’s mother, Lyn Ulbricht, to the show to discuss her attempts to get Ross’ plight in front of the President. She’s joined by her friend and attorney, Sasha Hodder.

We explore the history of Silk Road, the case which led to Ross’s imprisonment and how Lyn is working to get him freed.
