Hello, Jonathan Agnew here. Welcome to a special program as we look ahead to 2021 and predict

what might happen in the world of cricket. If you missed our review of 2020, you can hear

that on BBC Sounds as plenty of memories from a remarkable year. And with me to look into

our crystal balls, I'm joined by the former England International, everybody ran for Brent,

the TMS, Quantet, a Simon man and our Stats man and the Zoltzman. So 2020, unpredictable,

in so many ways, at least cricket was played for a long time. It's it looks if it wouldn't be.

I want to say 2021 is going to be any more normal as we might say. So England, of course, we know

packing the bags, heading off to Sri Lanka, a cup of tests there. They're still hoping to play

four test matches in India, one of those at day night, who in that mega stadium in Armada

Bad. And then of course, it's a full summer to come. There's a lot of cricket to go until

the ashes, of course, kicks off in November 21. So it's interesting, isn't it?

Abe's Simon and he that so often seems to happen that we preview an ashes to Australia by going

off and playing in India on some continent. I mean, it just seems some bonkers really, isn't it? I mean,

can't they sort this out? So at least you've got an idea of the planning that you're going to do

without, particularly Sri Lanka teams that England play and put out. But it's completely different

from anything else to do in any other part of the world. So what are you saying? Are you saying

that match in Chennai is no preparation for the first test in Brisbane? I was like nothing to

say. I think more perhaps the second testing goal might be a bit of a different line up. It is

interesting, isn't it? It's like, you know, from a batting perspective, you'd want to get used to

pace coming at you, bounce the works and actually, you spin game needs to be hugely in order, not that

it doesn't against someone like Lyon, but I mean, it's completely different conditions

...
