All right, Ben Bang welcome to the dog walk presented by Barstool Sports today I'm joined by a man named Joe and Joe is a glass blower from ignite glass studio

Joe welcome on the show how do you enjoy being a glassblower?

Man, Eddie, thanks for having me. It was a nice run in India and appreciate you having me here.

But man, glassblower, it's not your average career, especially in Chicago. So yeah, it's one of those

that you maybe hear a lot about.

But, yeah, I've been doing it professionally for about 10 years.

Ignite's been great.

It's a supportive community in which, you know, there's about 7-8 resident artists, and we're here making products for restaurants, kind of all the above, doing some education,

and kind of just exposed in chicago to some glass art

so one of those things and you tell me if you disagree with me or not yeah it's one of those things to

me that it feels like there's probably a sector of america that doesn't even realize this still

happens oh 100% this is definitely that niche thing where you you have no idea that this is a thing

until you start kind of going into it.

Yeah.

I mean, it's almost like, you know, the skateboard scene, the fashion scene, all that type of stuff

where until you really kind of dive into that, you don't know that there's this genre

of culture and folks around that are doing this stuff and at high levels.

Yeah, like when you send me the video and we'll, uh, hopefully at some point here before Christmas,

we'll go over there and you guys could, uh, show us, make some ornaments or put Eddie in the heat.

We'll make some stuff. Yeah. So I think we'll bring a camera to show everyone because that's kind of

what sold me is I ran India at actually at Duncan. That's right. Chicago runs on him. Yeah, exactly. So I ran into the Dunkin and we're like, hey, dude, I'm like a glass.
