Bear, thanks for coming on the podcast, man. Thanks for having me.

Yeah, you're here in town because of the Hunt Expo, right? Yes, yeah, we have a booth for

born print of outdoor, so we'll be here all weekend. It's awesome, man. We were talking about your

military career before we came on here. You know, part of the thing about this

podcast is we break it down into the three subject matters. Survival, which is

survival slash preparedness, business, and the military.

Like those are the three genres that I focus on because I want people to kind of get that

experience by listening to your experiences and you cover down on all three of those.

I mean you're the guy.

Before we get into Bourne Primitive because you started that business based on a lot of your worldly experiences and

military experiences and academic experiences I imagine. Let's start from the

very beginning. Like where did you grow up and then what'd you do post growing up?

Midwest Guy, youngest three brothers grew up in Indiana,

so you know your normal kind of patriotic family you know we were all playing sports

through high school I was lucky enough to get recruited play football in college so

I played football at Yale University I was a middle linebacker, graduated there.

So you're the smart football player?

I mean, I guess.

I wouldn't say that.

I think maybe I slipped through the cracks.

You know, we had an emphasis on academics growing up,

so I did good in school, and it got me a seat at the table at Yale and then you know I made the most of that I got good grades there and graduated and all that but had a great time playing ball like that's kind of the plan was actually to enlist in the Navy at a high school.
