We thank jockle and today. We've taken our studio to

Utah we're in Utah. That's right. Hebris City, Utah to the headquarters of

Mike Glover and we thank Mike for letting us use his studio today for what I feel is a one of our major

sodcasts and I wanted to start with a little section from on the ground.

In this case was it was June 1968 a recon team had been inserted into oscarate our most notorious

massive bulldozer. It's blade up in the air and NVA soldiers signaling directions with a

flashlight. Watkins was barely over the bulldozer when along came two Russian T-38 tanks.

Their gun barrels facing aft their external fuel tanks mallet just as the manual said.

It took more than three hours for the NVA parade to pass and this is that night as the

last of us rumblings grew faint Watkins came out of his days and looked around. He immediately

sought rung who was one of his indigenous team members crawling towards him with a panicked

look on his face. Watkins had been so mesmerized by all the traffic he had forgotten about the

young brew team members er and rung they were with him on the trail watch. When rung

reached him he could barely talk not proficient in English under the very best of circumstances

what he was now attempting to tell Watkins bordered on the incoherent. Watkins calmed him down

as best as he could and made him start over. Rung said he'd been watching the road traffic

just like Watkins and had been as taken with it as he was. While he was staring at all the

vehicles passing by a hand had reached out from the darkness and given his arm a shake.
