Welcome to Variety Podcast. I'm your host, Felicia Mason-Himer, and I am here to

0:06.3

teach you how to know what you believe, to live it boldly, and to communicate it

0:11.3

graciously to the world around you. I believe that women are ready to go deeper in

0:16.8

their faith than ever before, and they don't have to go to seminary to do it. I am

0:22.5

so glad you're here, and I hope you'll join me on this journey because every

0:27.3

woman is a theologian. Welcome back to Variety Podcast friends. I am so thrilled to

1:38.2

meaning of a text when it was written in a time in culture very different from ours. I get this

1:45.2

form of a question quite often. Why is there a log against boiling a young goat in its mother's

1:49.9

milk? Why is there a log against mixed fibers? And how do we understand these laws today?

1:56.3

If we aren't observing the ceremonial and civil laws of Israel because we aren't a

2:01.0

theocracy, how do we then understand laws in Leviticus and how do we translate the principle

2:07.3

in them to our modern culture? And that is a fantastic question. It has a lot to do with the
