Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

If this is your first time joining us today, then let me just welcome you and say that I am so glad that you're here.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful

godly wife Lacey and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity. Okay, so today we are

continuing a discussion that we began back in episode 103. So I'll go ahead and say right at the outset

that if you have not yet listened to episodes 103 and 104,

then I would encourage you to pause this one and go back and listen to both of those

because what we will be discussing today will be a direct continuation of things that have been said thus far in those two episodes.

But in any case, today is going to be part three of a series that we've been in called

What is God Like? What is God like? So let me just quickly review a couple of things that we

have looked at up to this point in the previous two episodes. And as tempting as it is, I'm going to

do my best not just to spend a whole bunch of time just reteaching the same

content, but I do at the same time want to lay a little bit of groundwork and catch us back up to

speed. So let me go back and share with you guys, again, just a couple, three, actually, three quotes that I shared back in the first episode of

this series. The first one is by A.W. Tozer, and it says, what comes into our minds when we think

about God is the most important thing about us. Worship is pure or base as the worshipper

entertains high or low thoughts of God.

For this reason, the gravest question before the church is always God himself,

and the most portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do,

but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like.

We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward

our mental image of God. We'll return to that last sentence here in just a minute. C.S. Lewis said,
