I write novels and I make podcasts, and this is the show where I talk with

John Darniel, singer and songwriter of the band The Mountain Goats, about what it is to be a fan and to be an artist. This season we are going song by song through John's 2002 album,

All Hail West Texas, and we will hear a good amount in this episode about how that album came

to be. Today we will also discuss the song Pink and Blue. As in each

episode of this season we will have a brand new cover of this song recorded just
