This episode is brought you by Google. We've talked before about AI transforming the UK workforce, but Google's just produced some research which estimates that in total, these tools could save the average worker in the UK over 100 hours a year by 2030.

And their research also estimates that almost two-thirds of jobs across the UK have the potential to be significantly enhanced by AI,

which is a big opportunity, but it does mean people will need new skills to make the most of it.

Google's also leaning into this upskilling. Since 2015, they've provided free digital skills

And we're joined today by an MP who is much in the news right now, Kim Ledbetter.

And that is because she is bringing forward a private member's bill on assisted dying. That of itself makes

her a leader, because if that goes through, that is going to be a very, very significant change

in Britain's national life, or should I say England and Wales, national life. But of course,

people will also know that Kim is somebody who probably

horribly first came to a kind of national prominence because of the murder of her sister,

Joe Cox, somebody that both Roy and I knew, and it was one of the saddest events of anyone's

life, but what it was like for Kim, heaven only knows more

we will talk about that briefly.

But she then became an MP by standing in the very seat that Joe had represented and

become something of a unifying figure in British politics at a time that that was sadly

all too lacking.
