We're here at the Western Hunting Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City. A big part of this show, Austin.

I mean, there are tags that are up for grabs, people are putting in for tags. You know,

we get in their $5 and put

their name in the hat for some premier, premier tags here. There's auctions. The key to any big

game hunt oftentimes is getting the tag. Every state has its draw systems and all those draw

systems have their intricacies. A lot of them are a little bit different.

There's even some weird stuff. And honestly, there's a lot to unpack there. So I think for this podcast,

let's talk about some of these draw systems or even just, you know, the process of applying for

a tag in general, maybe some one-on-one stuff,

you know, people looking to just get into it, changes, you know, some recent changes that have happened.

For people who maybe have been into it for a while, but, you know, stuff they may want to pay attention to.

And part of this, to me, is just talking through the urgency. This takes a lot of planning. We're only into the

second month of the year. It's mid-February right now. There's some, some draws that have already

happened in December that, you know, you're going to have to wait a whole other year to even get your name in the hat if that's a state that you want to hunt.

So there's a lot to it.

Like you say, every state is different.

No two states are the same.

Even though they may use the same terminology, they might mean something totally different state to state.
