episode, I'm joined by author of the books Let It Be and Dylan, Steve Matteo. Hello.

Hello, how are you, Chris? I'm great. How's life in New York at the moment?

It's a beautiful day today. Blue suburban skies. I must say I'm great. How's life in New York at the moment? It's a beautiful day today. Blue suburban skies.

Must say, I'm loving your book, Act Naturally, The Beatles on film.

What was the idea behind that?

Well, I knew someday I would probably do another book on the Beatles

after doing the Let It Be book, which is mostly about the

Let It Be album, but there is stuff in there about the film. And I, you know, started kicking

around the idea of, you know, doing something on the films because there really hasn't been

a book in a while. I mean, there's been some really great books. You know, the Roy Carr book in

particular, I think everybody really loves that

book. So I ran into an editor in New York at Book Expo, which is the big book publishing convention.

And this was in May of 2019. And so we're talking and he's like, you know, what are you up to?

And I said, well, I said, you know, I actually do have an idea for a book.

And when I told him, I thought it would be a good idea to do a book on the films of the Beatles.

He was just immediately into the idea.

So that was it.
