Pope Francis was recently released from the hospital after over 30 days being treated,

antibiotics, steroids for what began with pneumonia, and he's been released. He's heading back to

Vatican City. We pray for him, and we pray for his adherence to the Catholic faith. And today,

Bishop Athanasia Schneider suggests three retractions that Pope Francis should make. Or he says,

if Francis does not, three clarifications, theological clarifications that should be made by the next Pope.

And I want to handle this with sensitivity, knowing that he is unwell, that he's not doing well.

This is not meant to be any form of bashing of Pope Francis. But it does get to the heart of his pontificate and the conversation, or shall we

say, dialogue between Bishop Athanasia Schneider and Pope Francis. And those three

recommended retractions. And we're going to get some video footage here from an interview that

The three retractions that Bishop Athanasia Schneider speaks about is, first of all, he said that Francis or the next Pope, we should go back to affirmations,

confessions of faith. It used to be before Vatican II, when a pope was made Pope, he had to make

a vow. He had to make a papal oath. And this affirmed the Catholic faith. And I don't know why we got

away from that. I know that, you know, it may not go all the way back to the Catholic faith. And I don't know why we got away from that.

I know that, you know, it may not go all the way back to the apostles, you know, Peter,

Linus, Anaclitus, Clement, Everestus.

Maybe they didn't make an oath, but it's a good measure.

And there is development in the liturgy of the church. And I think for a man to be elected Pope and to come into the office, the munis of the Pope,

he needs for the sake of, for his own conscience, and for his own direction,

and for the sake of all the faithful to make an affirmation of the Catholic faith.
