Even though her life started in Northern Ireland, she found herself at Stanford Business School

in the 90s and never left the area. She's worked with the likes of Salesforce's Mark Benioff,

whom she considers a mentor, and was Jack Dorsey's right

hand and CFO at Square. But recently, she says she made her hardest career decision to date,

leaving her role at Square, which she called the best CFO job in the world, to become CEO of

Next Door, a social network connecting people to their neighbors.

On this episode, Sarah talks about taking risks, breaking down the roadblocks we sometimes

create for ourselves, and knowing when to be patient and impatient in your career.

have you here. The last time we saw each other was a couple years back. You were the CFO of Square

at the time. That's right. Now congratulations. You're the CEO next door. I know. Heading places, right? Is that how it feels?

It feels great. I think I've hit the rocket ship. I think the most exciting thing going on right now in Consumer Internet, and I'm going to tell you all about it. But it really has felt like a very easy transition.
