Hello everybody, it's Sam and it's time for episode 130 of the Victor Prep FOCAP podcast.

It's Monday, so happy Monday everybody, and to celebrate it being a Monday, I have a

poem for you, well actually correct myself.

I'm actually going to read some lyrics to you, but I've always felt that the best lyrics

are indistinguishable from poetry, and are in fact the same thing.

So some of my favorite bands as singers have always been those who write lyrics that stand

for themselves, or stand by themselves.

They don't need the music to be meaningful or beautiful.

So today I thought for something different, I'll read you some Leonard Cohen, who for

me was a poet first and a songwriter second, and I still feel so lucky that I got to see

and perform live in New York before he passed away.

And if you've never listened to him, I would definitely encourage you to do so, and also

to read the lyrics along with the songs, because his lyrics are just all so amazing.

So right.
