The North Carolina Supreme Court recently threw out the sentence of convicted juvenile killer

Riley Dawson Conner, who has been incarcerated since he was arrested at 15 years old for

the violent rape and murder of his father's sister.

His 45-year-old aunt Felicia Moore Porter.

This week on murderous minors, we look at the murder case behind that high court's recent

decision, along with the other ramifications his original consecutive sentences have had

on juvenile justice legislation in the state of North Carolina.

Conner's mother and other relatives testified later as to many details about his childhood,

and she said that her son began experiencing disruptive sleep patterns between the ages

of one and two.

His family called them night terrors, but his mother testified that she later realized
