Socom did a study.

My buddy Chris, who was a former Delta Force member,

who went into basically combat development,

and we're looking at that,

determined that the technique we're using with grabbing the rip cord and pushing it this way

and making us look back.

So if you're looking back and you were running a Gintechs, that's fine.

But we're running NVGs on our head, nods down with a ballistic helmet.

So 11 plus pounds of weight on your head, looking back, opening shock after terminal

velocity, our neck would crank back this way.

Yeah.

And so for many of us, through my SF career in Halo operations, advanced free fall jump master, it was that

whole technique. Eventually they changed it where you you open with the canopy this way looking down

at the ground and then it opens and then you do your canopy check. We're doing this for so long.

It's wild. We had those cap threes. You know, that Czechoslovakian cap three automatic opening device.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, two of them at night, one of the daytime.

Oh, wow.

And we just stayed there like that.

And it opened.

Yeah, you'd hear it like the tick, tick, tick, tick, you know.

Yeah.
