0:33.2	every woman a theologian. And today we're going to answer another question in the beginner
0:37.9	believer series. We're going to ask the question, if I'm saved, why does my behavior matter? Why does it
0:46.3	matter how I live my life? Now, last week's episode touched on this a little bit, but we're looking at it
0:50.9	from a slightly different angle this time. If I'm saved, why do my actions
0:56.3	matter? I really want to hone in on this because there's so much false teaching surrounding
1:02.9	sanctification, which is the process of becoming like Christ, and justification, which is the process
1:09.5	of being made or the status of being made righteous in
1:13.3	God's eyes. What happens at salvation is justification. You receive a brand new identity that you
1:19.9	could not work for and you could not earn. This is given to you through Jesus Christ. But as we all
1:26.2	know, just because we've received Christ in our inner
1:29.8	person, we have the Holy Spirit, doesn't mean that we're going to automatically be freed from
1:35.9	all of our bad habits, sinful behaviors, and actions that we've participated in in the past.
1:42.8	So how do we think through and obey God
1:48.0	in our sanctification if it's not a one-time thing? That's a great question and that's what we'll
1:56.0	be looking at today. Now to revisit what salvation is, let's talk a little bit about justification. What does
2:03.9	it mean to be justified? Romans 3 is a great passage to look at when it comes to the idea and the
2:11.8	status of being justified in Christ. It says this, but now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been
2:20.1	made known, to which the law and the prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in
