Summary

0:39.2	where 18 Frenchmen held off an army of 700 Iroquois, and they all died based on their

0:49.0	Potentially saving Montreal and New France from utter destruction.
0:53.1	And word has gotten back to France and the French king
0:57.5	is sick of this and he's decided to put on the glove or take off the gloves and take it to the
1:04.2	Iroquois. And so he orders pretty much an extermination of the Iroquois at this point.
1:11.6	The orders seem pretty clear that they really want to destroy the entire power of the Iroquois.
1:18.0	And so something that has never happened before,
1:20.9	the French are going to attempt to launch an entire army into the heart of Iroquois.
1:25.5	Now, how many militia soldiers did we say were in the last
1:29.2	battle? 18, 18. And how many soldiers commissioned soldiers as the King of France sending to the New
1:37.9	World? Probably about 500 in addition to the people that are already there. So it's going to take them a little bit to get there.
1:46.1	We mentioned that the Battle of Long So happened in 1660, and it takes some time to raise an army
1:56.1	and transport it across the Atlantic and supply it.
1:58.9	Does it not, Caleb?
2:00.2	It does. Logistics weren't quite as caught up as they are today. You've got to clothe all these people, get them guns.
