0:16.1	today. Hello, good morning, beautiful. Welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Wednesday, my friends. So thankful that you pressed play today. Thank you for inviting me into your day. I have such a powerful devotional for you. The title of today's episode of the Big Life Devotional podcast is, that's simple faith.
0:41.9	One day, Jesus was speaking to a group of people in his hometown of Nazareth. These people knew of his miracles, but they couldn't believe who he really was.

1:01.1	They'd seen him grow up.
1:03.4	And now he's come back to his hometown, and he's told them that he's the chosen one to
1:10.0	fulfill the good news of God.
1:12.3	He has come to set the captives free and make the blind to see, just as scriptures had foretold.
1:19.8	While he was nothing but truth, he was rejected in his hometown.
1:27.4	Those who knew him best received him the least.
1:34.8	Gosh, how sad it is to find it's still true today. Those of us who are most familiar with Jesus
1:43.9	grew up hearing of Jesus and know all the stories,
1:48.5	we're often the ones who are least impressed by him. We miss the miracle because it's simply not
1:57.4	that impressive to us anymore. Maybe you're a little too comfortable with Jesus,
2:04.3	so now you just go through the motions. Oh, my sister, you will miss out on the fullness of what
2:14.5	he is here to offer you when you stop being completely slayed by his presence
2:20.3	and his power. We're coming into the time of year when we read about the Virgin Mary, having a
2:26.4	baby in a stable. And while you've likely heard the story many times, I pray this year, you are absolutely blown away by it. May you be in
2:41.8	awe of your Jesus as never before. The people in Jesus' hometown were amazed by what he did, but couldn't believe who he really claimed to be.
2:58.0	And now, because they struggled to believe, they didn't receive the fullness of what Jesus had to offer.
