Well, good morning, beautiful. Welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Thursday, my friends. I'm super excited to be here with you today. Traveled all day yesterday. Got to Southern California. I got to do a little meet up with a lot of our podcast listeners in Newport Beach. Oh my gosh, what a fabulous time we had yesterday evening. Got to just meet and connect and take photos together

in this beautiful place got to have dinner my heart is absolutely overflowing and today guys

I just have to tell you what we're doing today so today is the beginning of retreat

and we are picking up vintage Volkswagen vans.

I always call them slug bug buses.

We're picking up a fleet of those.

And we're doing a road trip up the coast on coastal highway one, camping along the way,

heading to Malibu, where over the weekend we have a mansion in Malibu we get to

stay in and then after that we get to camp in the vans on the way back so we're like well-balanced

girls okay we're girls that are willing to sleep in vans on the beach and then we're girls that get to

stay in a mansion in Malibu. So it's just

balanced out. We're going to have so much fun. I'm excited to get to start the day here with you.

Let's get to our devotional. The title of today's episode of the Big Life Devotional podcast is

grab your shovel. We've been hanging out in Luke chapter 6 this week, listening to the

teaching of Jesus to his newly selected disciples in this large crowd that had gathered seeking

his healing touch. And he first tells them how to follow the pattern of his love. Yes, we've learned not to be

hateful, to do good, to talk good, to pray, forgive, give generously, and just be nice. If we can do

that, we show up like Jesus and our relationships are radically transformed.

And we can practice just that for the rest of our lives and still need to work on our love for
