Summary

In this special unscripted devotional, we learn to imagine each moment as if it were a beautiful invitation to return to this one ordinary day and make it extraordinary. See every person through the perspective of a label that says, “Only here for a little while.”

Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.”

What you have today appears quite ordinary – it’s up to you to find, focus on, magnify, and create the extraordinary. And when you do, you start living your days as God says you should.

first Friday of 2025. We have the first weekend of this brand new year of life ahead of us. And if you

forgot to be happy about it, like, I just want to remind you, uh, you are alive today. Look at the potential and the

possibility and the blessings in this gift of life. Oh, it does not have to be perfect for us to be

0:50.3

happy about it. I'm happy to be alive, aren't you? Well, this morning we're going to have a special

0:55.4

time together on Fridays. We like to go a little bit unscripted, dive into a Bible study together,

1:02.3

and just have kind of a chat time. So we're going to call this like our girlfriend chat time.

1:08.3

And quite honestly, if I could only share one thing with you for the rest of

1:16.1

my life, it would probably be today's message. It would be this devotional. So I'm absolutely

1:23.5

honored to get to share this with you. We're titling today's devotional Bible study time together

1:30.9

extraordinary perspective. Something happened this week as I was sharing lunch at favorite

1:41.1

waterside super casual restaurant with my husband. We're sitting by the water and it's

1:47.2

actually down by a marina and there's all kinds of boats coming in and out and all the tourists are

1:52.6

here in the Florida Keys between Christmas and New Year. Like everybody comes here. Oh my goodness,

1:58.9

everybody's on vacation. And so tons of people are walking by us

2:02.9

as we're sitting and having lunch. And I noticed this little boy, he was probably two to three years old.

2:11.2

And I noticed his t-shirt as he walked by. And his t-shirt said, only little for a little while. And y'all, it just stopped me in my tracks.

2:27.0

Only little for a little while. Isn't that the truth? And don't we miss it while they're little? We kind of rush through it.

2:37.4

And I got to thinking, gosh, we should all be wearing a shirt with a message so clear.

2:45.4

Think about if everybody were walking around with kind of one of those cartoon thought bubbles like you could
