Delin. It is October 11th, 2023. And today we are excited to have with us a New York

Times level author. He is the author of a new book called Scare City Brain. His name

is Michael Easter. He is also the author of a book that my beloved book club and Margin

I all read together, I believe last year, and it was called The Comfort Crisis. Both

of these books have a ton of wisdom. And so we're going to talk a little bit about both,

but also about Michael Easter story. Turns out Michael grew up in Utah, went to Woods

Cross. Hi, Woods Cross. So he has a bit of a, maybe a bit of a Mormon story. We'll see

I actually don't fully know his Mormon story, but we're going to talk about his life

growing up in Utah, Woods Cross. We're going to talk about his two books. And what I'm

really interested in talking about is just his views on religion. If I were to read his

bioreally quick, Michael Easter is the author of The Comfort Crisis and a professor at the

University of Nevada, Las Vegas or UNLV, Go Rebels. He regularly writes and speaks on how humans

can leverage modern science and evolutionary wisdom to perform better and live healthier

and more meaningful lives. Yeah, his work has been implemented by professional sports teams.

We want to know who elite military units, Fortune 500 companies and leading universities.

He lives in Las Vegas on the edge of the desert with his wife and their two dogs. What breeds

are your dogs? We have a German short hair pointer and we have a, it's a lab, pit bull,

insert seven other dogs mix, named Conway, after Conway, Twitty. And do you treat them

Conway, Twitty? That's a bit of an obscure reference. Well, guess who's stocked in his name,

Dr. John Stockton? Yep. I guess. John Stockton. That's less obscure. Yeah. And is it Conway,

Twitty, a country, Western singer? Yeah, old like 70s guy. Big hair. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
