I want to play something for you. I want to play something for you. You're hearing Rabbit by 4, featuring my guest Nate Wood on drums, bass, and keyboards.

Born to a musical family in Southern California,

Nate began his career at an early age,

eventually gaining notoriety as the drummer of knee body.

An exceedingly versatile instrumentalist,

he's worked with artists such as Wayne Krantz,

Donnie McCaslin, Sting, and Chaka Khan. Nate has also released three albums as a singer-songwriter and engineers and produces for other artists.

Although he has a gift for mastery when it comes to the mechanics of music,

Nate imposes boundaries on himself with the aim of encouraging creative thought.

He possesses a clarity of concept that transcends mere virtuosic gymnastics.

I spoke to him in downtown Los Angeles.

And now my conversation with Nate Wood. My parents are both musicians, actually.

Cool.

And they're both still active.

My father, when my parents met in a band in the early 70s.

They were both 19 or 20.
