Well, good morning, beautiful. Welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Friday, my friends. Oh, we are going to have a special time in our Bibles together today. First of all, it's Friday. We like to go a little unscripted. So no transcript today. Just opening God's word and studying together. And I'm actually sitting outside on my back patio

today. It is the most glorious, beautiful, sunny but crisp morning here in the Florida Keys. And we have this

humble little house that sits on the water here and this morning the manatee

are playing in our canal so i'm just sitting out here listening to these manatee as they're breathing

in they come up out of the water and they're breathing and it's just fantastic the birds are singing

just in case there's background noise today. Just know,

that's why I'm outside. But we have been studying, as of yesterday, the story of Jonah.

So I want to continue on looking at this amazing testimony of Jonah in the Old Testament. So if you were with us

yesterday, you remember that Jonah was a prophet of God and God told them, Jonah, I want you to go

to Nineveh and warn the people there that, hey, I don't like the way they're living and I'm going to bring

destruction. But Jonah is impulsive like we tend to be sometimes. And Jonah just plain and simple,

he didn't want to do that. He didn't want to go to Nineveh. So he goes in the exact opposite direction.

He hops on a boat that's going to Tarshish and a big storm comes up on the boat.

And they figure out that Jonah has been disobedient.

And they realize that the storm is because of his disobedience and they throw him overboard.

And then the storm stops.

And everybody on the boat realizes, whoa, this is the one true God.

He controls all of this and they worship God.

So that leaves us with Jonah's now in the water and he's in trouble. And chapter
