Now, today's episode is one that I am personally very excited for.

We're going to be talking a little bit about conspiracy theories and what the issues are with them.

So we've seen them increasingly pop up all over the place, especially recently for a number of different reasons. The more that

people have access to mass communication, the more access that people have to other

viewpoints, the more evil that some influential people get, the more our distrust and authority

will grow.

And so these factors, along with a breakdown that we've seen in critical thinking skills, social fears, abuse by authority, anti-authoritarians have kind of created the perfect breeding ground for conspiracy theories to flourish. So on today's show, we're going to

spend some time discussing the problem with conspiracy theories and why they are not a good

or practical solution to social ills. So when we break it down fundamentally, today's podcast is

going to be about truth and error.

So to get the ball kind of rolling on this conversation, Aaron, could you give us a bit of

a overview of why exactly we need to be committed to truth rather than error?

Well, the word of God gives us plenty of scripture pertaining to how we should think and by extension how we should speak.

And foundational principles regarding how we think are going to be tied into how we speak because we always think before we speak.

We may not always think before we speak. We may not always think before we speak

in the proper way.

In other words, people can be guilty of stinking thinking
