Summary

In the decade after the First World War, the men of a small Hungarian town died by the dozen, all suffering a similar fate. Eventually, the series of murders was exposed to have been due to arsenic poisoning. Multiple women were arrested for killing their husbands and charged with no less than 140 cases of murder. In the words of a local priest, during a police interview:
"These villages, gentlemen, are utterly dominated by women. And the men are all afraid for their lives!"
