Summary

This one includes it all. Kim covers the three sensory systems we need to know about: proprioceptive, interoception, and vestibular. She explains why kids move in the ways that they do and what their bodies are trying to accomplish through those movements. Kim walks us through occupational services for children - what the purposes are and how therapy services can help. She talks about sensory processing disorders and how nature is such a therapeutic setting. We talk a lot in this episode about the importance of balance throughout the entirety of life and ways we can continue to work on our balance through older age. We also hit those first three years of life and the vast benefits of nature connectedness. Nature gives a new toolbox every season. Get your notepad and pen ready for this one!!
