As you may or may not know, we have not talked about this today, so we're just tuning in. Pete Alonzo signed with the Mets the other day. I don't know if you guys are aware of this. He re-signed

with the New York Mets in shocking fashion, a two-year $54 million deal. For many months, this was

a topic of conversation on WFAN. And I believe it is now time to see how accurate we all were in some of the things we said.

So I want to start by going back as far as we can.

That's right.

In the middle of June, I asked everybody, let's predict Pete Alonzo's contract.

And by the way, I think what actually led to this discussion was our coworker, Brandon Tierney,

because B.T. was saying you got to trade Pete Alonzo because he won't be a met.

And my argument, not actually with B.T.

Because he was on his own show, but we were discussing it because I think he had texted me about it too,

was I think Pete's going to come back because I don't think he's going to get a lot of money.

And that's where this whole conversation came from.

And so I remember I did predict a short-term deal, but I don't know if I was accurate.

I don't remember what anyone else predicted.

I don't remember at all what I predicted.

Well, we're about to find out.
