Hello, hello and welcome back to the first proper episode of my podcast, my

brand new podcast that's Drivel with me TGE. Now an aggressive start to the podcast series because this is going to

descend into pretty much a 20 to 30 minute rant. Many of you will be aware that on my social media over the past few months I've been becoming more and

more disenchanted with London. To put it bluntly I'm absolutely sick of the place and throughout the lockdown

period it kind of catalyzed my thoughts on the topic that I wanted to get out I wanted some space and I actually kind of hate London so we're going to go into that I'm going to bore you a little bit with a bit of background history and I also have a property

update. I have found a house. So we're going to go into all of that and why I'm happy to leave

somewhere that I've been living pretty much my whole life. So then as I just said, I actually was born in London,

I've grown up in London, and I've been living here ever since.

I was away for a few years in Bristol

when I went to university, but fundamentally I've been a londoner

all my life.

I've worked in the city of London ever since getting kind of a proper job

back in 2000 and whenever it was.

And I've always been in the mindset that London is the place to be.

And I couldn't fathom living anywhere else. I mean why would I?

But effectively London now. Now it's had the kind of the bars and restaurants and socializing scene

almost stripped out of it. The work side of things as well being stripped out of it.

You've been left with this place where you're kind of looking around and you're thinking,

why on earth am I here?

What is in it for me now?

Like there is literally nothing nice to see or nothing really nice to do

everything's expensive people are unpleasant to each other I'm probably gonna get
