Summary
It's Oscars season! The Cine-Files hosts John Rocha and Steve Morris continue their exploration of the 2024 Best Picture nominees in their Oscars Best Picture Series with this conversation and review of THE BRUTALIST. This Brady Corbet directed film co-written by Corbet and his Mona Fastvold stars Adrian Brody, Guy Pearce, Felicity Jones and Joe Alwyn. The film focuses on a visionary architect and his wife fleeing post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern United States, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious, wealthy client. John and Steve discuss the acting, directing, writing, cinematography and score of the film along with its Oscars chances in the 10 categories it is nominated in.
