She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women, now Mississippi University for Women, with bachelors and master's degrees in speech pathology and a minor in psychology.

Her PhD is from Southern Illinois University with an emphasis on infant toddler preschool communication disorders with a

cognate and rehabilitation administration. Her experiences in the field have

impacted children and parents in Kentucky, Mississippi, Illinois, Michigan, and

Georgia.

She is presented to various state, regional, and national organizations

on a variety of topics relating to programming, evaluation, and intervention

for the pediatric population.

She is an Asha fellow, a National Academies of Practice Fellow,

Professor Amherita, and Board Certified Specialty in Child Language,

and has served on several committees for Asha.
