I love this talk for two reasons.

Number one, I love this whole failure is fertilizer thing.

You know, fertilizer helps things grow.

And so sometimes we think failure is the end of the world.

Like, no, there's a lesson in every failure.

There's a seed of greater benefit in there.

You just got to use that so you can grow in the future.

Number two, is he's talking about the phone.

Some people just go through their whole day staring at their phone,

not knowing that there's so many opportunities that you can be missing in your life and in your relationships if you would put down

the phone. His talk kind of reminds me of what Wallace Wattles wrote about in his book, The Science

of Getting Rich, which is leaving other people with the impression of increase, right, leaving them better than they were before.

And it's really hard to do that when you're staring at your phone, when you're talking to

somebody or not listening to somebody. So put down the phone, turn off the ringer, and just

really pay attention to people because you never know who you're talking to and you never know what that

conversation might lead to in the future. Great story he's going to tell. Rick Petino's,
