This is Episode 218 and we're speaking with one of you, a listener.

So our guest went through a bit of a hunting renaissance, if you will, and we talk about

his story learning to become an elk hunter as someone from Iowa who's never done such

a thing.

Lots of good lessons to learn and many things that I'm sure you can relate to in this episode.

We also spend a good portion about the first half of the episode, talking about getting

his daughter into hunting and her teenage years and what that process looked like and

how it went.

The mistakes that he made, the things that he learned, and again, as someone with kids,

this is something even I can relate to, but no matter if you have kids of your own,

they're all beginning to get into hunting.

I think it's really important for all of us as hunters to consider helping others get

into the pursuit.

So whether that's kids, adults, it doesn't matter.

We play a role in getting other hunters involved in hunting and there's a lot to learn from

that in this story.
