0:04.3	Today I want to share with you a recent talk that I gave at Franciscan University of
0:10.2	Stubanville, up in Ohio.
0:12.2	It was the first talk that I gave since COVID hit.
0:15.5	I was able to fly up there with my son and I spoke to around 500 university students who
0:20.6	are all social distancing in a gigantic gym.
0:24.1	You can watch the talk on YouTube if you want to watch it rather than listen to it.
0:28.8	But it was really great to give the talk and the reason I'm sharing it on Pints with
0:31.7	a Quietness is because I shared a Quietness as four remedies for lust and then I shared
0:37.5	his five remedies for sorrow.
0:39.8	And you might be wondering why I would do that.
0:41.4	Why would you talk about his remedies for sorrow?
0:43.7	And I explain this in the talk, but briefly it's because I think one of the primary reasons
0:47.8	people habitually masturbate or look at pornography is to self-soothe.
0:54.5	If we are an agitated or anxious state, we may be more likely to turn back to these
1:02.0	things that we've done, perhaps since our childhood, in order to sort of self-regulate.
1:06.9	And a Quietness as remedies for sorrow aren't just there so that we can use them when
1:12.7	we feel sad.
1:13.7	But we could also think of them as how to live a beautiful life.
1:16.5	And so that's what I share with you.
