This is something I've wanted to do for a while now and I've been seeing some things on Tik-talk that have me very irritated. And I was like, you know what, I need to talk about this with somebody who I know will be on the same level who will understand all the things I need a shorthand I need swaddled, I need supported, and who better than Miss Darra

I'm better now. I'm actually really excited to do this. I'm not going to lie. I'm really

excited to actually because Lindsay Lohan was in some ways my number one of the era, but I feel like it was mostly because not of how because of how much I liked her personality necessarily,

but just her vibe.

Nicole Ritchie truly was my number one spiritually.

So one interesting thing that I've discovered over the last like I guess a few months of being in bed and on Tik-talk every night is that in this sort of resurgence of early 2000s nostalgia and discovering the early 2000s for like

for like Gen Z they don't know who Nicole Ritchie is and that was something that really struck me that, you know, she's been sort of erased and it's honestly unimaginable to me.

It's unimaginable and I when you asked me to do this this episode and you teed it up that way I

really didn't have any full idea that the kids didn't really put the respect on

Nicole's name that she deserves not because of any deficit in what they should or shouldn't know, I don't blame them, but I just assume that my knowledge of the time period is everyone else's knowledge because I'm surprised what they do know. So this one is surprising to me that they don't know her because she they know so much about Paris and to me I don't really understand how Paris can be kind of

at the forefront I would say even more so than Lindsay where Paris can be so far in the front and it's like Nicole's a footnote in

Paris's story. You know I have theories about that and we can get deeper into it because of course we're going to talk about the Paris of it all in the rebranding of Paris versus Nicole. But I think just in my head it has something to do with the fact that Paris is just like a big cartoon.

Yeah, and it's been easy for her to kind of like I guess rebrand repackage whatever you want to call so there's a 5150 going by

it's been easy for Paris to kind of like repackage herself is this like in quotes newer thing.

When in reality she's just like a heightened version of what she's always been.

Yeah and I think the cartoonishness really, really plays a big part because the era of

Nicole where she kind of had that look, I wouldn't say it was necessarily cartoonish, but it was at least tacky and very of the era that lasted for a very very short time. I mean it really only it only lasts until Rachel
