This picturesque neighborhood nestled on a large hill in Paris's 18 Arondizmont,

with its iconic Sakar Kur Basilica overlooking the city,

would soon be gripped by fear as elderly women began turning up dead in their own homes.

That October, the first in a series of brutal attacks was

reported. The victim, an 83-year-old woman living alone, had been savagely beaten and strangled.
