Hey guys, this is the way I heard it episode number 225, and this one is called,

Why does Jake Maynard think my sweat pledge is bonkers? Jake Maynard is a former

fisherman turned journalist who writes for a magazine called The New Republic.

And last week he wrote an article about me best described as, oh, let's just call it

non-flattering. In general, Jake likes the shows that I work on, but he hates the fact that

I now have a show on Fox Business called How America Works. He also hates the fact that

in the past, my foundation has accepted donations from institutions like the Charles Koch Foundation.

He hates the fact that I did a graduation speech for Prager University, and he hates the

fact that many years ago I participated in a manufacturing summit with Mitt Romney. His

article is entitled, Mike Rose Dirtiest Job, Cozying Up to Conservatives. Now, look,

normally I would ignore articles like this and cheap shots from writers with an axe

to grind, but Jake Maynard not only took a shot at me in this article, he took a shot

at the people who have signed my sweat pledge. Now, the sweat pledge is a document that

I require every scholarship applicant to sign if they want to be considered for a work
